Dr. Paywandi is an Ontario-licensed family physician. He obtained his medical degree from the Guy's King's College of Medicine in London, England. During medical school, he also pursued an intercalated Bachelor of Science degree in physiology. His experiences as a junior doctor exposed him to the specialties of emergency medicine, pediatrics, general medicine as well as ophthalmology. Dr. Paywandi currently serves a diverse patient population in a bustling metropolitan city of Vaughan. Dr. Paywandi is compassionate towards patients and a dedicated educator to future physicians. When he's not providing high quality care, Dr. Paywandi enjoys paint balling, bowling and watching action/martial arts movies!
Dr. Lakhoo is an Ontario-licensed family and lifestyle medicine physician. She is passionate about empowering individuals to reach their optimal health and wellbeing through proven evidence-based lifestyle changes. Dr. Lakhoo obtained her medical degree at the University of Alberta. She then completed a master’s degree in Health Sciences in Family and Community Medicine with a concentration in global health at University of Toronto's the Dalla Lana School of Public health. After recovering from postpartum depression and burnout, she decided to change career directions and received her diploma with the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine. When she's not working, Dr. Lakhoo is hanging out with her kiddo, hubby and friends. She enjoys travelling, reading and engaging in creative pursuits!
Srikesh is an Ontario-licensed physiotherapist with additional certifications in contemporary medical acupuncture. He completed his professional training at McMaster University's School of Rehabilitation. Prior to, Srikesh obtained an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology followed by a research-based Master of Medical Science investigating immune-muscle crosstalk in obesity and adolescent idiopathic scoliosis. Srikesh is a strong proponent of exercise as medicine and his clinical interests include neuroanatomical and fascial pain as well as psychoneuroimmunology. Srikesh describes his role as a health advocate and problem-solver and he’s always eager to serve his community. He seeks to combines active listening with his natural sense of curiosity to build rapport with his patients. He is keenly aware that physiotherapy problems are always multifactorial and unique to the individual. Thus, he has come to appreciate the art involved with patient care and the importance of emotionally intelligent communication. On a personal note, Srikesh enjoys live music, backpacking / motorbiking across South America and plotting to take over the world with his sister!
Michael is an International Coaching Federation (ICF) accredited coach and certified Integral Master Coach™ through Integral Coaching Canada. Prior to coaching, Michael obtained an undergraduate degree in English Literature from the University of Toronto and worked as a communications specialist in the Financial Services industry. It was this passion for communication and recognition of the power of language to inspire and open minds that led Michael to explore coaching. First as a client, then student, and now professional coach with over 6 years of experience. Michael combines a thorough grounding in coaching methodology and Integral theory with active listening and genuine curiosity about people to explore challenging areas safely and compassionately with clients. He has experienced countless times the importance of well-being and engaging the physical body in making change in just about every area of life! Conversely, he has also seen how central it is to make the right changes at the appropriate time for overall health and well-being. Michael is based in Toronto where he enjoys strolling with no particular destination in mind, eating food from all over the world, and the occasional bout of vigorous exercise.
Dr. Maingi is an Ontario-licensed cardiologist. He obtained his medical degree at the University of Toronto and his cardiology fellowship at Western's Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry. Dr. Maingi pursued cardiology because he was drawn to the dynamic and mechanical nature of the heart. He believes that much can be done for cardiac patients to improve quality of life and longevity. Dr. Maingi is currently a staff cardiologist at Trillium Health Partners where he has held many leadership positions including Chief of the Cardiac Health Program. Dr. Maingi was one of the original founders of One Heart Care, one of the largest ambulatory Cardiac clinics in Canada. He currently serves as President and Board Chair. He states that he often learns from his patients and is always amazed and humbled by the courage and grace he observes in them. Dr. Maingi has been an encouraging mentor to many young physicians and medical students and inspires them to pursue their passions in a variety of endeavours.
